Oh So Random
So, the last week or so has been going good. When things get busy the blog gets put on the backburner. Sorry guys.
I've still been going to crossfit but I'm doing extremely light workouts. I'm so ready to get back into it....but I've got to make sure I'm healed up before I do. I don't want to risk anything.
I'm still going on the Whole30. I've noticed several differences:
-I've dropped a lot of weight {I'll tell y'all the total on Feb. 22}
-I feel amazing
-I'm sleeping better than ever
-I prefer fresh veggies or frozen or canned
I was still having a craving of some "bad" food. I think what it really was, is that I wanted some southern homestyle cooking. I finally found it too!! Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf. It was amazing. The recipe will be here for y'all tomorrow. It was definitely what I needed to have those dreams of chicken fried steak, cheeseburgers, and bbq to go away!
Our weekend was fun. The Hub's was off Saturday. We had to go pick up B from his dad early Saturday morning. When we got home, I had to go to a luncheon that featured a speaker on Mindful Thinking and Eating. They were great at explaining how we need to slow down and not live life on autopilot. We were also taught some breathing exercises to calm our nerves down.
This was immediately put to use at the grocery store afterwards. Who decides to go to the grocery store at 5 pm on the Saturday before Super Bowl. This girl and about 5 million other Waco residents.
Yesterday, it was beautiful. After the kids nap, we played outside all afternoon until The Hub's got home. We then went to The In laws for some fajita's {I ate chicken and veggies only} and some Super Bowl watching.
I think my 2 favorite commercials were the Taco Bell commercial with the old people who sneak out of the retirement home and the Dodge "So God Made a Farmer" commercial. That one was amazing. It gave me goosebumps because I had a best friend with a farm and basically grew up on that farm. I get it.
What was your favorite commercial?
Don't forget if are in the Waco area and want to be apart of the New You, Too program, you will need to go weigh-in today. Information is here.

YUM... I liked the Taco Bell commercial too.
I like the Audi prom commercial. So good!
I had never heard of Whole30 befor this post. Once I get over that there was a plan I wasn't aware of, I'm def going to check out the details. Seems like it might be exactly what I need to ground myself food-wise.
Found your blog via ML! Love it! Check me out too diet-drama.com
I am a new follower! Just curious what is the Whole 30?
tell me more about the whole 30 because i am too lazy to google it or click links today LOL!!
Love that last pic! And I'm looking forward to that recipe--I'm craving fried things a lot lately and need to slow my roll. :)
I also loved the Dodge/Why God made farmers commercial. My grandparents had a farm and I remember listening to Paul Harvey every day at noon. I liked the taco bell commercial too! Those two were the ones I really liked. The Go Daddy commercial made me sick. They didn't need to get so up close and sound effects.
In Canada, we can't see the commercials during the game (anything coming from the US gets Canadian commericals "dubbed") so I watched them all online. I really liked the one for Oreo in the library. My son and I found that quite amusing!
oh, almost forgot...thanks for the meatloaf recipe...gonna pin that one!
