Yesterday, I woke up in a really bad mood. The Hub's had to take the GRE test and was super nervous. I think our dogs could sense it because they got up 4 times. Then I got hot. Then I had to pee. Finally, I just got up.
I didn't want to go workout but I'm so glad I did. Walking into the box instantly put me in a better mood.
We did a workout called Klepto. I kept thinking it should be called Lohan or something to that effect since a lot of crossfit workouts are named after women. Then found out it was a hero workout and didn't want to disgrace it like that.
Klepto was the 2nd hardest workout I have done since I have been with Crossfit Waco. It literally left me flat on my back, feeling like I couldn't breathe.
I loved it.
I may have done "just" level 1. I may have had to rest for 15 seconds after 3 hanging power cleans + front squat {with 45 lbs.}. I may have thought about quitting BUT I finished the damn thing.
During round 3's hanging power cleans, my mind was telling me to give up, to just take some weight off the bar. I put the bar down, walked over to the water fountain and got a drink. On the way there and back I gave my mind a little pep talk. When I got back to the bar, I literally got it to my neck so fast, it scared me. My adrenaline was going. The pep talked worked!
Mind over matter baby!
A couple weeks ago, I posted on Instagram {shellynobelly} that I needed a new protein drink. Mine tasted like shit. I literally almost threw up every time I had to drink it. I want to throw up thinking about that shit now. Well, my friend Kristen came to the rescue!
I ordered the Muscle Gain from Advocare. I'll be honest and tell you I was really skeptical.
It actually tastes really good. You know what else I love? The fact that it literally has double all of the vitamins that the shitty version had with the same amount of calories. Score!
And let me be honest again. Kristen did not pay me to say this stuff. I just love it that much!
It's time for me to go get a little breakfast and get ready for that next workout. Y'all have an amazing {positive} day!

So glad you like the shakes!! And congrats on all of your hard work, friend! You're definitely inspiring!! :) <3
Im having a really hard time with my mind telling me to stop during a workout. Because I always listen! And then when the workout if over I get mad at myself for not doing the hole thing because pain is temporary! I need to remember that at the gym this morning. Thanks for the reminder Shelly!
During marathone training i found that your body can do a lot more if your mind doesn't tell it to stop. Our bodies are a lot stronger than we give them credit. When you do push through, it feels amazing. Good job!
I am soooo proud of you!!! You are doing so great!!!!!!!
Hey Shelly,
I recently started following you and think that you are wonderful! Such a inspiration!!
